Looking for a delicious appetizer or snack? Want to satisfy both a salt and sweet craving? Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels are just the thing…and they really are irresistible. Bake up a batch and you not only have an awesome treat…your house will be filled with the irresistible aroma of Fall spices too!

How To Make Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels

The method for making these sweet pretzels is totally easy. Just coat the pretzels and bake. It’s that simple.

Ingredients Needed To Make Cinnamon Sugar Pretzels

  • Mini Pretzels Twists – we love using pretzel twists for this recipe because of the large surface area, allowing more tasty spice coating per pretzel!
  • Coconut Oil – will harden again after cooling, helping the sugar and cinnamon to stay on the pretzels. It’s also shelf stable (unlike butter) so the pretzels stay fresh for longer. You can substitute vegetable oil.
  • Ground Cinnamon – essential spice for this recipe!
  • Granulated Sugar – nothing fancy here, just plain white sugar. You can substitute turbinado sugar for more texture.

Directions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 225F/107C. Spread the pretzels out in a single layer on a large rimmed sheet pan.
  2. In the microwave or small saucepan, melt the coconut oil. Evenly pour the oil right over the pretzels.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture over the oil coated pretzels and stir.
  4. Transfer the baking sheet to the oven and bake for 1 hour, stirring the pretzels every 15 minutes. Allow to cool on pan completely.
  5. Store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

The smell is heavenly and you will need to fight the temptation to devour the pretzels at the point!

Bake the pretzels in a low heat oven for an hour, stirring every 15 minutes. I have tried these baked at a higher temperature, which is faster, but the pretzels started to burn so I went back to a lower heat.

I used coconut oil for another layer of flavor, but do not worry, the pretzels will not taste of coconut. Don’t like coconut oil? Use a vegetable oil instead.

Amazing flavor, crunchy, sweet, salty, easy to make…this recipe will go on your list of favorites!
